A 49-year-old woman was killed Saturday in a single-vehicle crash in northeast Bartow County.

The Georgia State Patrol reported troopers were dispatched around 2:18 p.m. to an accident with entrapment on Bells Ferry Road N.E., a residential street located between Ga. 20 and Stamp Creek Road near White.

According to the trooper's initial report, a Kia Sorento crossed over the center line, veered off the roadway and struck a tree. The driver, identified as 49-year-old Lille Verhine of White, required extrication by Bartow County Fire and EMS personnel.

Due to the extent of her injuries, Verhine was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, but died en route to the hospital.

The trooper's final report is pending.
