Willie Glenn Woods III


Mr. Willie Glenn Woods III, 37, of Cartersville, GA, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018. Willie was born April 24, 1981, in Cartersville, GA, to Mr. Willie "Woody" Glenn Woods Jr. and Ms. Beverly Woods.

Willie was an avid sports lover.  He was a die hard fan of the Atlanta Falcons.  He loved basketball, coaching and above all, he loved his children. Willie was known as the peacemaker, wanting everyone to get along.  He never held a grudge and was everyone's friend.  He always had a smile on his face and made everyone feel that they belonged. He will be truly missed by the many who knew and loved him.

Willie is preceded in death by his sister Latoya Jackson,; grandparents Mr. Willie Glenn Woods and Mrs. Dorothy Lee Brown Woods and Artis Cheeks.

Willie is survived by his fiancé, Pamyla Bertram; daughters Reanna Woods, Aliena Carter and Olivia Woods; sons Elijah Woods and Tristen Barrett; father Willie "Woody" Glenn Woods Jr. and mother Beverly Woods; step-mother Amanda Woods; brothers, identical brother Wesley Woods, Shannon (Stephanie) Woods, Blake Woods, Logan Woods, Jordyn Woods and Nathan Woods; sister Veronica Woods; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive to cherish Willie's memory.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Tuesday, December 11, at eleven o'clock in the morning in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Young officiating. Serving as Pallbearers will be: Tommy Goughf, Blake Woods, Roy L. Brown, Alonzo Cheeks, Marc Dawson, Roy Brown, Marquis Brown and Harrison Porterfield.  Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: Shannon Woods, Elijah Woods, Keton Eder, Dorian Eder and Jalen Woods.  Interment will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home Monday, December 10, 2018, from Five o'clock in the evening until nine.
