Nancy Malone Burns

Mrs. Nancy Malone Burns, age 71, of Kingston, passed away Friday evening, August 5, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Burns was born in Rome, Georgia, February 11, 1951, daughter of the late Jack D. Malone and Mattie Bell Andrews Malone. 

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia Malone. Nancy was a member of Kingston Baptist Church and the Seven Hills Shaggers. She worked with the City of Cartersville for over 35 years, retiring from the Cartersville Police Department. 

Nancy was a lover of animals, especially her horse, Charlie and cat, Mingo.  She enjoyed traveling, the beach, shopping, and most importantly her family. Nancy was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Larry Burns; daughter, April Pratt Hardin and husband Jody; stepchildren, April Burns and John Wallace, Michael Burns and wife Kim; grandchildren, Savannah Lee Hardin and Matthew Cody Hardin; brother, Guy Malone and wife Laura Jo; nieces and nephews, Ryan Malone, Kaylan Malone, Traci Baker Smith and husband, Buddy,  Sydney Howell, and Bandy Baker; 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 12:00PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Reverend Jimmy Garland officiating. Interment will follow in Kingston City Cemetery, Kingston. Pallbearers will be Jon White, Bandy Baker, David Goddard, Steve Minchew, Richard Green, and Michael Stewart.  Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Fowler, Bobby Smith, Dale Schulte and Jason DiPrima.

The family will receive friends Tuesday at Barton Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Nancy’s honor to the Kingston Baptist Church, at P.O. Box 369, Kingston, GA 30145.
