Mrs. Loretta Scott “Ms. Kitty” Baker, age 87, of Salisbury, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday March 30, 2021.
She was born on September 23, 1933, to the late James and Maria Logan. She was preceded by her husband, James Baker; daughter, Catherine Bush; brothers, James Logan and John Logan.
Loving cherished memories will remain with her children, son, James S. (Frances) Baker Jr.; daughters, Olivia D. Baker and Vanessa (Stephen) Baker-Latimer; sister, Phyllis Vincent; brothers, Retired First EB Sergeant, Joe (Gracie) Scott, Larry (Carol) Logan, Perry (Bernetta) Logan; sisters-in-law, Aljosie Aldrich Harding, Carolyn Logan; special guardian angels, Sarah Ford and Deborah Wilson; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Due to COVID-19 precautions, the family will have a private service that will be publicly extended at 11:00 A. M. on Thursday, April 8, 2021, via Noble and Kelsey Funeral Home, Inc. Website (nobleandkelsey.com) and Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, website (www.gmbc-online.org). Interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made in her memory to Gethsemane Baptist Church Restoration Fund.
