Hubert “Bert” Clay Love III, age 78 of Taylorsville, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021.
He was born in Maryville, TN, on June 29, 1943, to Hubert Clay Love Jr., and Eleanor Wright Love.
Bert graduated from Alcoa High School. He attended the University of Tennessee with a golf scholarship and was an Electrical Engineer Major. He was employed with Western Electric and several car dealerships ending his career with Hardy Chevrolet in Dallas. Bert was a United Methodist Lay Pastor. For five years, he served at Poplar Springs UMC and eleven years at Fairmount First UMC. His third cancer removed him from church ministry. Bert is preceded in death by his parents and an infant grandson, Steven Michael Keais. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Black Love; children, Christopher (Michelle) Love, H.C. (Mandy) Love IV, April (Ronnie) Keais, Ashley Love; stepson, Al (Steffanie) Holstein; grandchildren, Dylan, Mack and Zackery Keais; Clay and Sarah Love; Andrew Kytlel; Madison and Nicky Plavcan; step-grandchildren, Trey and Andy Holstein.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Trinity at The Well UMC with Rev. Steve Lyle officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 25, 2021, from 2:00 pm until 3:45 pm at the church.
