Mr. Eddie Ray “Bebo” Coker, age 55,  passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020, at his home with his family around him when his heavenly father called him home.

Mr. Coker was born in Rome, GA, February 4, 1965, to Edward Coker and Eunice Brookshire Coker. Ray was of Baptist faith and member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Gordon County. He was employed at Mohawk Industries in Calhoun. Ray was an old car fanatic,  antique car show enthusiast, and huge NASCAR fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr.  He loved collecting Hot Wheels with his grandson, Tristen, Hot Rod Magazines, and pictures from the many shows he attended. He enjoyed working on cars and learned the trade of lawn mower repair from his granddad Henry, and was known around town as the person to come to if you needed something fixed. He loved fishing when he could and hanging out with his family and friends. Ray never met a stranger, and would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. Ray was a loving husband, devoted father, and to his grandson Tristen, “The Worlds Best PawPaw."  He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his son, Dustin Andrew Coker; grandparents,  Marvin and Dixie Coker as well as Henry and Lurlyn Brookshire all of Adairsville.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Wendy Leonard Coker, whom is his high school sweetheart; son, Jeffery Ray Coker; grandson, Tristen Coker; parents, Ed and Eunice Coker; brothers, Anson (Stefanie) Coker and Dwayne (Ann) Coker;  several nieces, nephews,  aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Parker and Rev. Ronnie Wells officiating interment will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Sonoraville Community. The family will receive friends at Barton Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the funeral.

Pallbearers include Sean Tincher, Mitch Colquitt, Chris Coker, Zach Coker, Wesley Roberts, and Joey Leonard.
