On Monday, June 17, 2019, Agatha Mpude, loving mother of six children, passed away at age 78.
Agatha was born on January 1, 1941, in Ndibsi, Cameroon. She received her Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery in Cameroon and practiced as a nurse midwife for many years at Kumba General Hospital. She raised three sons, Ivo (deceased), Martin, and Wandiabe, and three daughters, Rita, Christiana, and Gladys.
Agatha had a passion for reading and helping people in her community. She also loved traveling and loved keeping up with the latest news on TV as well as reading religious books and newspapers. She was also an avid music lover. She was known for her infectious smile, her kind and compassionate spirit.
Agatha was preceded in death by her son, Ivo and her parents Anastasia and Ferdinand. She is survived by her children, Rita, Christiana, Gladys, Martin, Wandiabe; Grandchildren, Nkonge, Emmanuel-Trevor, Mandela, Job, Mpude-Bella, Epole-Faith, Amakena, Abigail, and Amabelle; adopted daughter Emade Gladys, her Sister Epole and aunt Emilia, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, August 3rd, 2019, at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Cartersville, GA, at eleven o’clock in the morning.
The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home Friday, August 2, 2019, from four o’clock in the afternoon until eight.
