The Adairsville softball team fell to .500 in Region 6-AAA play with an 8-1 road loss Wednesday at Rockmart.

Playing a day later than scheduled due to rain, the Tigers and Yellow Jackets entered the bottom of the third inning in a 1-1 tie. However, the hosts scored twice that frame, four times in the third inning and tacked on a run in the sixth to pull away.

Adairsville (6-2, 2-2) had four hits in the game, with Alyssa Jarrett driving in the team's lone run. The Tigers are scheduled to head Thursday to LaFayette for another region clash.
