He was born in Adairsville on Aug. 6, 1925, son of the late Andrew Carl and Lula Pelfrey Marshall. Mr. Marshall was a member of the Adairsville First Christian Church and was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lizzie Gibson Marshall; a son, Billy Marshall; a daughter, Claudette Smith; and a brother, H.C. Marshall.
Survivors include a son, Bobby Marshall of Cartersville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynne and George Hall of Adairsville and Paulette and Dale Price of Rome; six grandchildren, Charman Putnam, Chris Marshall, Tim Price, Stephen Price, Gypsy Parker and Frankie Hall; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. from Barton Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Owens and Min. Phil McPherson officiating. Interment will follow in Oothcalooga Cemetery. Nathaniel Parker, Frankie Hall, Justin Hodge, Jonathan Price, Drew Putnam, Tim Putnam, Chris Marshall and Dustin Putnam will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Barton Funeral Home.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Benjamin "Bennie" Marshall.
