Suspected stolen truck leads to foot chase
An Acworth man reported Sunday to the Bartow County Sheriff's Office that a truck almost ran him off the road twice. When deputies located the truck they say was stolen, an alleged foot chase ensued.
According to the incident report, the complainant said he followed the gray Chevrolet truck to an Oak Drive residence in Acworth.
When deputies arrived at the home, they say a man who was later identified jumped in the truck and sped off. He allegedly pulled onto Ga. 293 and into a driveway of King Drive, then fled on foot.
The pursuing deputy was unable to apprehend the man, who then jumped a fence and ran toward homes, but an arrest warrant was issued for him.
Car, motorcycle crash causing injuries

According to the Cartersville Police Department accident report, the motorcyclist said the 1997 Nissan Altima pulled out in front of him on Ga. 61 at Center Street, but the motorist said he pulled out and was struck by the bike. Two witnesses said the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed.
The biker was taken to Floyd Medical Center for injuries to his wrist, leg and lacerations all over the body. The driver of the car was apparently not injured, but a woman and 2-year-old child in the car sustained injuries, but were not transported to the hospital.
Neither driver was cited due to conflicting stories.
Cartersville police reported no other Sunday accidents, but Georgia State Patrol troopers responded to four accidents with four injuries in Bartow County in the 24 hours preceding Monday at 5 p.m.
