The first call to Cartersville police came at approximately 10:02 a.m. The victim said someone entered her Ford Expedition while she was at Bodyplex and stole a prepaid LG phone and a red leather wallet containing her driver’s license, $200 cash, her Social Security card, a prepaid MasterCard, a prepaid Visa card, an American Express card, a prescription for her daughter’s Adderall and a $25 Home Depot gift card.
According to the report, the rear driver side door may have been unlocked. No signs of forced entry were found on the vehicle. However, the vehicle had reportedly been keyed on the right side.
A second report was filed with the Cartersville Police Department just after noon. The victim said his Ford Ranger had been broken into while he was at the gym. The stolen items included a wallet, $400 cash, a Georgia driver’s license, a military ID, two checkbooks, two debit cards and an Apple iPhone.
The suspect reportedly broke into the vehicle through the passenger side door, as pry marks were seen near the lock. The victim said he was in the gym for approximately an hour.
At 1:47 p.m. a third report was filed with CPD. The victim said his Dodge Ram pickup had been burglarized at Bodyplex as well, with a wallet, Georgia driver’s license, gun permit and two debit cards among the stolen items.
The victim also said he saw a mark on the passenger side door handle. The victim believed the handle was forced open.
