The race to replace former Adairsville Mayor Evan King has expanded.

Resident Ronnie Everett qualified for the race Tuesday, according to an email from Adairsville City Clerk Nicole Scoggins.

Everett is the third person to declare a candidacy in the race, with Kenneth Carson and Adena Harper qualifying on Monday.

Qualifying for the mayoral race will continue until noon today. Those interested must qualify at the city clerk’s office and pay a $156 fee.
