Three Bartow County wrestlers claimed traditional wrestling state championships in their respective weight classifications Saturday.

Also, all four county public schools placed in the top 25 across the state in the traditional wrestling competition as a team.

Cass High’s Blake Walker was the top finisher in the 126-pound classification in AAAA.

The Colonels team finished second with 160 points, just behind Gilmer County, which accumulated 191 points.

Woodland’s Logan Sims was the top wrestler in the 113-pound classification in AAAAA.

The Wildcats finished fourth in their classification, earning 110 points. Cambridge finished first among the AAAAA teams by earning 132 points while Allatoona was second, with 123.5 points. Pope was in third place with 122.5 points.

Adairsville’s Daelen Harrison won similar honors in the 160-pound classification in AAA.

The Tigers finished 11th in their AAA classification with 35 points while Cartersville, also in the AAA classification, placed 21st with 16 points.
