Mrs. Debra Lynn Rogers, 51, of Coggins Loop, Calhoun, passed away Friday, Dec. 27, at Gordon Hospital.

Mrs. Rogers was born in Cartersville on Jan. 7, 1962. She was member of Olive Vine Baptist Church and owner of Rogers Exterminating with her husband for the past 25 years. She was an avid golfer and a very active member and past president of the American Legion Unit 47 Ladies Auxiliary, Calhoun Gordon County Ladies Golf Association and past officer of the Elks Lodge #1883. She also enjoyed being involved in local charities and fundraisers for the Little Angels Golf Tournament and the Special Olympics. Debra was an outgoing, loving and caring wife, mother, daughter and friend who will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her father, J.C Bennett, and grandparents, Ernest and Beatrice Findley.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Wayne Rogers of Calhoun; son, Kevin Temples of Pine Log; stepdaughter, Felicia Liou of Port Charlotte, Fla.; mothers, Edith Knight of Calhoun and Ione Bennett of Pine Log; brother, Jeff Knight of Calhoun; numerous stepbrothers, stepsisters, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 29, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Land officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Vine Baptist Church Cemetery, Pine Log. Pallbearers include Jimmy Findley, Randy Findley, Ricky Rogers, Ronnie Rogers, James Rogers and Bennie Blackstock. Honorary pallbearers will be the American Legion Unit 47 Ladies Auxiliary and Calhoun Gordon County Ladies Golf Association.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
