A Bartow County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to 64 Tarpon Trail, Cartersville, in response to a house fire on Friday night. An inspector notified the homeowner last week, stating he believed the home, which previously caught fire on Aug. 16 due to an electrical problem, had been vandalized.

Saturday night at 64 Luther Knight Road, a woman noticed a man outside her neighbor’s truck. When she opened the door she saw a tall, white male who shined a flashlight at her and then ran down the driveway. The woman notified her neighbor of the intruder and called the police. Both women told police this was a common occurrence.
