According to the incident report, the complainant said he and his nephew were playing video games just before 2 a.m. in the living room of the residence when a white male knocked on the door and requested the complainant come outside.
Upon going outside, the complainant said the male told him, “My brother is in trouble and I don’t want to get the law involved.” The complainant further stated the male asked if his parents were home, the complainant stated they were not and he did not know when they would be back.
The male then walked down to the sidewalk to his blue passenger car.
The complainant stated he went back inside and continued to play video games with his nephew when the male opened the door, came inside the residence and pointed what appeared to be a black or gray semiautomatic pistol at the complainant, demanding $500 and telling the complainant and his nephew to get on the ground. The male then told the complainant to get something to break the glass of a gun cabinet.
The complainant said after getting a pool stick to break the glass, the male broke the glass using a drummer’s stool then went into the kitchen, removed the garbage bag from the garbage can and put all of the guns in the bag, then left in his car.
The nephew confirmed the story.
After speaking with the complainant’s father, he provided the deputy with a list of all the guns that were stolen.
The offender allegedly was wearing a black shirt, green shorts and sunglasses on his head.
