Dorothy Sue Moore Cantrell, 89, of Euharlee, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013.

Mrs. Cantrell was born April 24, 1924, in Bartow County, daughter of the late Wallace Jackson Moore and Ethel Lois Ledford Moore.

Mrs. Cantrell was a member of the Euharlee Homemakers Club and was also a Sunday school teacher at Euharlee Baptist Church. She enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, cooking and sewing. She also loved watching the Atlanta Braves games on television. She was an active member of Brandon’s Chapel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cantrell is preceded in death by her husband, Moses Edward Cantrell; sister, Imogene Tilley; and brother, Wallace Moore.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-laws, Terry and Lou Cantrell of Euharlee, and Rickey and Charlene Cantrell of Taylorsville; daughters and sons-in-laws, Linda and Roy Ferguson of Kennesaw, and Connie and Peter Dolan of Bluffton, S.C.; sister, Mozelle Osborne of Euharlee; brother, Gilbert Moore of Euharlee; grandchildren, Patrick and Michael Ferguson, Lane and Erin Ferguson — all of Hiram, Matthew Cantrell and Sheri Purvis of Euharlee, Jennifer Roberson of Cartersville and Cassie Taff of Atlanta, Chris and Jenny Thomas of Taylorsville and Chad and Stephanie Thomas of Taylorsville; great-grandchildren, Parker and Ellie Roberson, Cameron Ferguson, Sawyer Ferguson, Lauren Thomas, Landon Thomas, Hailey Thomas and Ethan Thomas, Matt, Nick and Kate Palastro, and Michael Dolan; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, from the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Shephard and the Rev. Ed Windsor officiating. Interment immediately followed from Euharlee Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Matthew Cantrell, Patrick Ferguson, Lane Ferguson, Steve Osborne, Al Tilley and Chad Thomas.

The family received friends 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 16, from Owen Funeral Home.
