On Saturday, March 30, at approximately 9:46 p.m., a Cartersville Police Department officer was dispatched to a Roosevelt Street residence in reference to a death threat.

According to the officer’s report, upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant/victim, who stated the arrestee threatened to kill her because she was using a hammer in her bedroom.

The victim stated she was in her room “trying to make it more homey” and was hanging up a curtain to cover her closet. The victim then stated the suspect came to her bedroom door and asked her to stop because “she was making too much [expletive] noise.”

The report states after the victim told the arrestee she had one more hammer to nail, the suspect “called her a stupid [expletive]” and proceeded to tell her she was going to kill her, grabbing a large kitchen knife and saying, “I’m going to kill you, you [expletive] [expletive].”

The victim stated she then borrowed a roommate’s phone and called 911.

The officer reported interviewing the suspect, who stated she asked the victim to stop hammering nails and that the victim said “no” and proceeded to threaten to hit her with the hammer if she did not leave her alone. The suspect stated she then went back into the living room and sat down.

After interviewing both witnessess to the events separately and based on testimonial evidence from the victim and suspect, the suspect was placed into custody with handcuffs, double-locked for safety for terroristic threats. The suspect was taken to the CPD for booking, processing and photograph without incident then transported to the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office for housing.
