The deputy met with the victim who said someone had stolen her money while she waited at the register. She pulled out a $100 bill from her wallet and placed it on the counter while the cashier continued to ring up her items. When she reached for the money, it was gone. She said she looked both on the counter and the floor before she noticed a black male, standing behind her. She told Suspect 1, “Hold up a minute, you took my money.” Suspect 1 denied the accusations and left the store along with Suspect 2. They drove away in a white four-door passenger car.

According to the report, video surveillance shows Suspect 1 wearing a lightweight black jacket, a blue and white striped polo shirt, blue jeans and brown boots on. The video shows the victim take out a $100 bill and place it on the counter. Suspect 1 slowly eases his hand up and takes the money.

Suspect 1 also was seen on surveillance going into the stock room, where he stayed for three minutes. According to the report, store management has signs stating “employees only” and “no restrooms” on all doors leading to the stock room.
