“I’m very excited about our performance this weekend,” coach Matthew Landolt said. “As the season has progressed, we have come together as a team.”
Landolt was proud that the boys placed second behind Dalton and the girls finished in the top 10 in a division won by Blessed Trinity.
Top individual performances for Woodland boys included Bronson Castro placing third in the 200-yard individual medley (2:15.93) and David Jones coming in third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.37). Jones and Castro were also part of the boys’ 400-yard freestyle relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay team, which placed third in each of the two events.
For the girls, it was Ellie Tuck placing fourth in the 50-yard freestyle (28.37) and Samantha Patterson’s fourth place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (1:12.19).
Woodland and Cass were two of 17 teams competing in the swim meet.
