It took some adjustment, but Cartersville punter Alec D’Urbano worked out all the kinks before punting the ball away for the very first time inside the Georgia Dome.

D’Urbano was one of eight players from Bartow County who were part of the 50-man North All-Star team which lost, 10-0, to the Central All-Stars Saturday.

“It was great honor for everybody who played today,” said Cartersville coach Frank Barden, who watched the All-Star game from the stands. “It also gave the players the chance to gain valuable experience and to create lasting friendships.”

Joining the senior punter at the Georgia Dome Saturday afternoon were Adairsville’s Hiram Velez and Andrew Ward; Woodland’s R.J. Williams and Canes’ Wyndham Laye, Byron Davis and Arrick Camps.
