Old Alabama Road is set to be improved, but due to the complexity of the project, which includes electrical and residential problems, the work is expected to take about three weeks to complete. The city will be closing the road to thru traffic and recommends motorists use the Old Alabama Road Bypass.
Portions of Seventh Street will also be closed intermittently for repaving work.
Signs will be posted this week along the roadways notifying motorists of the improvement projects.
