On Wednesday at noon, the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce will kick off its Buy Bartow-Work Bartow initiative in front of the Bartow County Government Annex. With the goal of increasing employment by 1 percent, or 500 jobs, in Bartow County, the chamber is reaching out amongst key stakeholders in the community to rally behind the campaign. The Chamber is encouraging all businesses to get involved in hiring Bartow residents.
Any Bartow business that has employed a Bartow County resident since Jan. 1 is eligible to sign up to “Ring the Bell.” The bell is positioned in the Bartow County Government Annex and was manufactured by the MeNeely Bell Co. The bell has a rich history in the community, occupying the former First Baptist Church.
