Joyce Smith Ingram, age 84, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018.
Mrs. Ingram was born on April 8, 1934, in Upper Marion, PA, daughter of the late Henry Oliver Smith and Annie Ruth Landers Smith.
Mrs. Ingram was a proud wife of a Baptist Minister, Sam Ingram for fifty years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Cartersville where she was involved in the Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Lottie Moon Women's Ministry. She retired from the State of Georgia after twenty-five years of dedicated service as a Child Support Agent. Mrs. Ingram was known for her artistic abilities and loved to paint. Her pride and joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ingram is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Sam Ingram; daughter, Deidra Ingram.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra (Mark) DuPree; son, Tommy (Jill) Ingram; grandchildren, Meridyth (Jason) Padgett, Matthew (Jennifer) Ingram, Jonathan (Karen) Ingram and Jennifer Horton; great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Ingram, Sam Leavitt, Mallorie Padgett, Olivia Ingram, Brenna Ingram and Abigail Ingram; sister, Marlis Rigdon; brother, Ronnie (Jeanie) Smith; sister-in-law, Bobbie (Jack) Mansfield; and a large group of extended family including Pat D. Brooks and her family and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Friday, the 18th of May, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Cartersville with Rev. Jeremy Morton officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family for one hour prior to service time at First Baptist Church of Cartersville.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Ingram's honor to First Baptist Cartersville Building Fund.
