Mrs. JoAnne Casey McClure, 80, of Decatur, formerly of Adairsville, passed away March 18, 2020, at Tranquility Hospice at Cobb.
She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, May 5, 1939, to the late Willard Casey and Retha Newton Casey. She was a member of Bridge Point Church at Toco Hills. Mrs. McClure retired from Reynolds and Reynolds. She enjoyed gardening and was a gifted pianist and organist. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Dennis McClure; and cousin and dear friend, Dorothy Herod.
Survivors include her daughter, Vickie Wright and husband David; grandkitty, Nikita; sisters-in-law, Mickey McClure and Betty Harris; nephews, Clifford McClure and Tony Harris; nieces, Carolyn Worthington and Kay Harris; cousins, Geraldine Still and her children, Janet (Tom), Elaine, and Gordon, Charles Gunn and his children, Travis, Tina, Tammy, and Tony, the late Fred and Annis Gunn and his children, Larry, Teresa, Fredia, and Freddy and Freda Woodring and her daughter, Amy (Wade) and her brother, Shane; and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 23, 2020, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Sorrell officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
A memorial will be held at Bridge Point Church in Atlanta at a later date.
