James Earl Jordan Jr.

While surrounded by his children and his sisters, James Earl Jordan Jr. was welcomed home into the loving arms of his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, October 27, 2019.  He was born in Cartersville, Georgia, on February 11, 1958, to Sarah Lou Cheatham Jordan and James Earl Jordan, Sr.  Beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Charlotte Allene Jordan Walker.

Jim was a 1976 graduate of Cass High School and a graduate of Reinhardt College. He attended the University of Georgia and later came back home to establish J. Jordan Greenhouses where he was able to foster his love of beautiful plants by becoming a wholesale and retail grower for the metro Atlanta area. Jim raised annual bedding and flowering plants, most notably the numerous varieties of lovely poinsettias for which he was well known. A lifelong learner Jim loved the outdoors. His interests were all things that showcased the beauty of God’s creation, specifically horticulture and geology.
