Flonnie Mae Linley Wiley, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 2:00pm at Damascus Baptist Church, 174 Gaston Westbrook Avenue, Emerson, Georgia 30137.
The body will lie in state in the church from 1:00pm until the hour of service.
Interment will follow in Bartow Cemetery, Emerson, Georgia.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 11. 2019 from 7:00pm - 8:00pm at the Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120
Flonnie Mae Linley Wiley was born on January 14, 1940, in Emerson, Georgia. She was the third child born to the late Raymond Clyde Linley, Sr. and Mattie Eufaula (Eula) Graves Linley.
She attended Summer Hill High School and was in the graduating class of 1958. She went on to attend beauty school in Atlanta, GA to become a licensed cosmetologist. Soon after she married the love of her life, Frank Wiley Jr., They have been married for 58 years. Together, they have four children, thirteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Flonnie was an avid sports lover; however, she especially enjoyed watching Stephen Curry play basketball. She made sure that all of her family and friends knew that she loved them. Her caring heart left an impact on everyone that she encountered. Flonnie also enjoyed watching soap operas; however, her greatest pastime was spent with her family at Sunday dinners. She had a kind heart and a sweet spirit. She would show love through cooking and compassion to others. It was nothing for her to give a ride to the stranded, a meal to the hungry, or comfort to anyone who needed it.
She leaves behind a loving devoted husband, Frank Wiley Jr.; her beautiful children Reginald, Telecia, Vince, and Bridgette; thirteen grandchildren; Tarrica, Bryan (Harriette), Reginald Jr. (Matshelah), Shomari, Yaharah (Cameron), Yareheet, Tory, Ahsher, Deja’, Avivyah, Shemrah, Zayde, and Sahrah; nine great-grandchildren; Tyrik, Nisa, Tyra, Elijah, Mikhae’el, Brodi, Casiah, Adinah, and Ari. Brothers, Daniel (Fannie) Linley, Aker (Latonia) Linley, and Tyrone (Nora) Linley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she loved enormously.
