2 arrested after man shoots into Adairsville home with resident inside

The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people from Cleveland, Tennessee, after a man allegedly fired gunshots into an Adairsville home with a resident inside.

According to a BCSO press release, a woman who lives on East Pleasant Valley Road called 911 at around 1 p.m. on March 11 to report a man outside her home, firing gunshots into her residence.

Deputies and investigators responded and stopped a black SUV leaving the driveway of the home. A female driver, Katherine Barlow, 28, and a male passenger, Wilmar Perez, 36, were detained. 

Perez was charged with armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, criminal trespass, burglary, unlawful for inmate to possess any controlled substance and theft by taking. 

Barlow was charged with armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, burglary and unlawful for inmate to possess any controlled substance.

The resident of the home was not injured. Investigators stated that the parties knew each other and that this was not a random crime.
