Ethan Belcher heated up after halftime to help the Adairsville boys pull away for a 68-48 road win over Haralson County on Tuesday.
Belcher scored 15 of his 18 points in the second half — eight in the third quarter and seven in the fourth — to help the Tigers (8-8) climb back above .500 in Region 6-AAA at 4-3.
Adairsville held a 17-14 lead after one quarter thanks to six points from Hunter Hice.
Mason Boswell carried the load for the Tigers in the second period, dropping in three 3-pointers for a 28-25 halftime lead.
Haralson County (2-10, 0-5) held its own through one half but couldn’t keep up over the final two quarters.
Boswell finished with 15 points and Hice added 14. Nijah Smith paced Haralson County with 14 points.
Adairsville plays host to Sonoraville on Friday and Armuchee on Saturday.

After a few tight games, the Adairsville girls ran up against a top-10 team in their Region 6-AAA trip to Haralson County.
The Tigers never stood much of a chance after falling behind 21-6 after one quarter in the 65-26 defeat.
Things didn’t improve much from that point with No. 10 Haralson County (12-1, 4-1) extending its lead to 36-11 by halftime and 52-19 after three quarters.
Havyn Isaac led Adairsville (2-14, 1-5) with eight points, including two 3-pointers.
Four players from the home team reached-double figures led by Alexis Boykin’s 13 points — eight of which came in the third quarter.
