Staff Report

On Friday morning, at Chief Container Corporation in Acworth, a purse was reported stolen from the employee break room, according to a Bartow County Sheriff’s Office incident report. The responding BCSO deputy viewed the video surveillance taken on the premises but was unable to identify the perpetrator due to poor video quality. However, an employee of the company told the deputy there was only one person in the break room at the time.

On Friday afternoon, a member of the Acworth police contacted the responding BCSO deputy with news that the victim’s credit card had been used to rent a motel room at the Budget Inn on Cowan Road in Acworth. The suspect was arrested by Acworth police and charged with larceny/theft and financial transaction card fraud.

Man arrested after woman appears to sneak into home.

A Bartow County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to 42 Colonial Drive, Cartersville, on Friday night, after witnesses saw a female, who was dropped off by an unknown vehicle, allegedly sneak into the home at that location.

According to the BCSO incident report, as the deputy approached the front porch, he saw a male and female sitting in the living room. However, when he knocked on the front door, the male allegedly left the living room area and went into another room. The female answered the door and allegedly told the deputy that she lived in the home with her sister and she was babysitting three children with no other adults present at the time.

After the female agreed to allow the deputy to search the home, he found the male, who identified himself as Adam Wade, sitting in a room located at the back of the house. Wade was arrested for an outstanding warrant for probation violation.
