The deputy spoke with the business owner who said a former employee had used two company credit cards to make $100,000 in unauthorized charges between 2010 and 2012.
The owner was in the process of acquiring all the documentation from the credit card company showing the charges. He also told the deputy there was another account that had unauthorized charges as well.
The deputy advised the victim to gather all documentation and forward it to investigators.
Grease fire damages residence
Bartow County and Cartersville fire departments were dispatched to a kitchen fire midday Friday.
According to BCFD Capt. Bruce King, the grease fire at 51 Wyndham Court in Cartersville occurred just after noon while a resident was cooking.
CFD station 4 and BCFD stations 1 and 6 responded. Damage was limited to the cabinets.
There were no reports of injuries.
