Bartow JL records 45 runs, 31 hits en route to state title

Bartow County Junior League put on a hitting clinic over the weekend in Monroe as it won the Georgia Junior League championship with an offensive display that nearly reached 50 runs in three games.

Playing a doubleheader on Saturday, Bartow defeated Spalding County Junior League 14-1 before following with a 9-0 shutout win over Pioneer (Columbus) Junior League. The state title game pitted Bartow against Pioneer in a rematch, which Bartow also won, 22-3.
