“I’m very excited to go back to work and serve the students and teachers again. It’s been a rough few months but I think the school system has a lot to be proud of and I look forward to being part of turning things in the right direction.”
Superintendent John Harper said the swear-in date has not been established at this time, but he also looks forward to Shultz again serving on the board.
“I have met with Mr. Shultz recently and talked with him about some of the things going on inside of the school system since he left [in 2010]. He has the same desire we all have of working closer together with the other board members to help make decisions that will continue to improve our school system,” Harper said.
Shultz served on the board from 2004 to 2010. The Post 3 seat was left vacant by Angie Cornett, who resigned in early January. The term will end 2015.
