The Cass Lady Colonels will be the fourth seed heading into the upcoming state volleyball playoffs after losing to the Alexander Lady Cougars on Saturday.

The Lady Cougars won the first set, 25-17. Cass claimed the second set, 25-16.

“Then I don’t know what happened to us during that third set,” Cass volleyball coach Jamie Horton said. “I used my timeouts quickly, but that didn’t help.”

In the third and deciding set, it was one and done for host Cass as it lost, 25-7, on day two of the Area 6-AAAA tournament.

The Lady Colonels secured their spot in the state playoffs after defeating Cedartown and Washington on Thursday.
