CAUTION: School Zone: Bartow school system battling DOT to get traffic light

Woodland High School Principal Dr. Wes Dickey points to the intersection of the school’s driveway and Old Alabama Road where he and Bartow County School Superintendent Dr. John Harper have been trying to get a traffic light installed. The Georgia Department of Transportation plans to widen the road to four lanes with a median and raise the speed limit to 55 mph in the near future.

The Bartow County School District and the Georgia Department of Transportation are locked in a battle over a traffic light at Woodland High School.
