Taylorsville woman charged with escape after not returning from work release

A Bartow County jail inmate is wanted on escape charges after she did not return to the jail from her court-ordered work release program.

Hashley Jeana Williams, of Taylorsville, was supposed to return to the jail at 5 p.m. on Thursday. She was given an eight-hour grace period, but did not return.

The felony escape charge and probation violation charge was added Monday to previous charges of bondsman off bond, felony failure to appear and criminal trespass.

Williams had previously been arrested for loitering and possession of methamphetamine.
