3 people steal nearly $2,000 in merchandise from Wal-Mart

According to a Bartow County Sheriff’s Office report, nearly $2,000 worth of merchandise was stolen from the Cartersville Wal-Mart Thursday morning by three people who walked out the front door with two shopping carts full of TVs and other items.

BCSO received the call at 1:15 p.m., and officers met with the Wal-Mart loss prevention associate. He said two black females and one black male walked out with unpaid items at 1:21 a.m. that morning, and based on what he saw from the security footage, he estimated the value of those items to be $1,843.74.

He said the items stolen included a 32-inch LED HDTV, a 32-inch TCL Roku TV, a JBL flip blu portable speaker, and a number of household goods, including pillows, baskets and clothing.

After walking out of the store, the three shoplifters loaded up a smaller, white SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer, and left.

No identities or arrests had been made as of the time of the report.
