Man accused of arson found, arrested Saturday

The Cartersville man who reportedly set two cars and two porches on fire using an alleged “flamethrower” during a pair of domestic disputes last week has been found and arrested, according to Bartow County Jail records.

Randy Allen Weaver, of 587 Cedar Creek Road, Cartersville, was booked into jail at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night and charged with two counts of first degree arson and two counts of second degree arson.

The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office had been looking for Weaver since the incidents on March 5.

That morning, Weaver allegedly got into an argument with his wife, ran through a fence with his wife’s car and set the porch on fire on Cedar Creek Road.

According to the police report, he then went to his sister’s house on Dogwood Lane and set two cars and the porch on fire at that home. The alleged incident happened after his sister and her two roommates, including her boyfriend, got into an argument.
